A Weekend Break: The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh

Shane got here for his weekend visit Friday evening.  Greyson was so excited to see his daddy, and smiled all evening.  Saturday morning we took our time relaxing a bit, and made our way to the Children's Museum.  (Once again, the Ronald McDonald House does such amazing things.  They have tickets to several attractions in Pittsburgh for families to enjoy while they stay, so our trip to the museum was free!). Greyson had a blast, and if you are ever in Pittsburgh, I highly recommend visiting the Children's Museum!  Here's a photo journal of our day:

Playing on the sand light table
Bubbling Mud-was not a fan!
In the Garage watching the balls in the sky.
Painting a picture in the Art Studio.
Playing cars with a friend.
Puzzles with daddy
Clifford and Emily Elizabeth!

Playing with ice in the Water Play area.

Very sleepy after our big day!

Sunday, we relaxed in the house and said goodbye to Shane, which was not easy.  Greyson understands now (since he is older) what's going, and knew that daddy was leaving, so he was very upset.  Let me insert here how incredibly blessed we are to have a man like Shane in our lives.  The sacrifice he makes to continue working for our family is amazing.
Last cuddles with daddy before he goes home.

  1. If you have an opportunity to go to the Pittsburgh Zoo, take it. Before we moved to FL, you Mom and Dad went out there with us and we made a trip to the zoo. Really a cool zoo and they also have an aquarium. Glad to see there is progress being made, even though it may be small steps, it appears to be forward steps. We send our love to you all. A.Kathy

  2. Hi Aunt Kathy! We are visiting the zoo this weekend! I'm so excited because the weather is supposed to be great. I will be posting pictures of that, too! Love you, and hope to see you the next time you are up for a visit!
